Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice assists private equity and corporate clients with financial, IT and tax due diligence, business analytics and technical accounting matters associated with corporate mergers, divestitures and acquisitions (M&A). Drawing on Houlihan Lokey’s market leadership in middle-market M&A transactions, our due diligence experts provide candid, unbiased, and rigorous support on matters most impacting deal value, and assist investors in identifying and evaluating key value drivers and risk factors.

TAS India

Houlihan Lokey started its TAS operations in Gurgaon, India in July 2022. TAS India assists Global TAS with various services including financial and tax due diligence, IT and Cyber diligence, and Digital value creation. TAS India is a rapidly growing team and a growth engine for our global HLI offices. Job Purpose:

TAS India is looking to add talented financial professionals at the Assistant Manager level to our fast-growing FDD team. As a professional in the group, you will be teamed with a highly talented and dedicated group of transaction advisory professionals, providing you broad exposure to different transactional issues affecting businesses within the M&A market today. We offer a unique opportunity to work in a variety of industries on an investment banking platform, providing exposure to the broader corporate finance industry and capital markets.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Participate in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements
Analyzing in depth the financial information (trial balances, income statements, balance sheets and cash flows)
Identification of key issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis
Undertaking smaller assignments or assisting in larger assignments reporting to a Manager
Writing Sections of an FDD / VDD report
Develop operational insights utilizing data & analytics in order analyze the drivers of profitability and evaluate key risks and opportunities of a company
Build industry skills and qualifications
Learning and deploying new-age technologies to enhance insights and efficiency on engagements (our tech stack includes Tableau, Dataiku, Alteryx, Snowflakes)
Reviewing the work performed by the subordinates and coaching them
Establishing strong professional relationships with client
Other ad-hoc pre-acquisition and post-acquisition due diligence and research support tasks

Basic Qualifications:

Qualifications: CA / CPA/ MBA / CFA / Master / PGDM in Finance or Accounting
Experience: The candidate must have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services firm

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of accounting and financial skills (IFRS and GAAP)
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills
Excellent written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals
Strong analytical abilities
Knowledge of and experiences with data analytics technologies such as Tableau, Alteryx, Dataiku will be an added advantage
